We are pleased to announce that this year's PACKAGING Innovations Conference has become part of Circular Week 2024. Circular Week is an international series of events and initiatives dedicated to the circular economy and sustainable development, taking place throughout Europe. Circular Week aims to promote the concept of the circular economy, support sustainable business models and foster cooperation between stakeholders. This will be the 6th edition of this initiative. The focal point of the circular week is the European Sustainability Congress 2024.
The PACKAGING Innovations Conference will include an expert debate "Bioplastics: choice or necessity?". The first speaker, Dr. Hab. Eng. Ewelina Jamróz, professor at the University of Agriculture in Krakow, will discuss the potential of using bioplastics in the area of packaging for the food industry from a scientist's perspective, based on her own research. The next speaker, Magdalena Pantoł - Head of the Biopolymers Department of the Implementation Center from the Corporate Strategy and Development Department of Grupa Azoty S.A. - as a representative of business will present the issues of introducing compostable polymer materials to the market. Both speakers, as well as dr hab. Joanna Kulczycka, prof. AGH / PAN, will take part in the discussion panel, and its moderator will be dr hab. inż. Agnieszka Cholewa-Wójcik, prof. UEK. Of course, there will also be time for a Q&A session.
