Contest rules

The competition task is to design and create a packaging prototype, a label or a coherent graphic concept for a product line. The basis is an innovative and surprising idea that can be produced.

The competition will be divided into 2 stages:

Stage I

Create a project, and complete the application form (available from the 30 of January 2024). Competition works can be submitted until the 30 of April 2024, at 12:00. The submitted works will be assessed by a professional jury composed of industry authorities, practitioners and experts in the packaging and graphics industry. A total of 10 works will be selected from all categories for the final stage of the competition. The list of nominated works will be available on our website www.packaginginnovations.pl in the "Student Zone" tab on the 6 of May 2024.

Stage II

The authors of the nominated works will be invited to the final of the competition, which will take place on October 9-10, 2024 at EXPO Kraków during the 16th International Packaging Fair Packaging Innovations in a specially created exhibition zone. During 2-minute presentations, competition participants will have the opportunity to present prototypes of their works, tell the jury about them and answer questions from experts. Based on the project evaluations and participants' presentations, the jury will select the winning works in each of the 3 categories. All authors of projects nominated for the second stage will be able to present their works to thousands of industry visitors during the two days of the fair. This is an irreplaceable opportunity to establish business contacts and obtain your first professional orders.

1. The competition is open to adults up to 30 years of age who have full legal capacity and are not professionally associated with companies dealing with packaging design or packaging production. Competition participants must have student status.
2. The basis is an innovative and surprising idea that can be produced.
3. Works can be submitted in 3 categories (1 work can be submitted in only 1 category) until the 30 of April 2024.
